Qu'on ne remercie pas assez!
Les légumes cultivés par Asafumi Yamashita et sublimés par sa femme.
La présentation, la slow food je confirme et surtout la cuisson rend les plats exquis.
You're not in a restaurant, you're at a "table d'hôtes".

If you read French and understand my article, I had the same comments as you concerning his house "not so clean" but this is my point of view and I'm a bit of a Monica Geller. But com'on, objectively, the house was not dirty! Our dish, our plates, our table and sits were all clean.

Concerning the price of the wine, I agree that the price should be mentioned.

But when you know France, you know that money in the restaurants is made on the drinks (though nowadays it has changed a little with the Caudalie source but this concerns still water) whether it is still or sparkling water or wine.

Now you know that you should ask before ordering... I know it's not an easy step and not very client-friendly but that's how it is in France... otherwise you'll get other surprises.

We picked a bottle and it was the same price as the meal (almost 40 €). It hurt at first but we knew it was a good wine. I don't think Yamashita would ruin his reputation on selling a cheap wine at an insane price. And of course he makes a margin...

Actually I'm not sure the bottle you drank was a 11 € one. The wine at Yamashita is selected by a French famous Wine Waiter. I'm not saying there is no good wine at 11 €... but still, good wines are more expensive anyways and ours was definitely good. If you get to know the name of the wine and its domain, then you will know for sure. That's my point but I may be wrong...
Asafumi Yamashita, l'homme qui murmure à l'oreille des légumes - Fionaurn:md5:e565bff0be30350e23e4fdc7e8fe3a452014-09-25T21:57:38+01:002014-09-25T20:57:38+01:00Fiona
Please read my link below: The place was filthy, prices not displayed as legally obliged and a rip off at Euro160 per couple for lunch.
